Founder and CEO
Arvind Thiagarajan, is the Chairman and Chief Inventor of the core technology of HD Medical Group and is responsible for future technology developments of the company. Arvind was educated at College of Engineering, Guindy, affiliated to Anna University, India and holds a degree in Electronics and Communication. He is a specialist in signal processing and algorithm development and has commercialized a loss-less image compression algorithm called Adaptive Binary Optimization (ABO). He holds 42 patents in his name.
Dr. Asha Nayak
Dr. Nayak is Global Medical Director at Intel, where she leads its healthcare investment strategy and provides clinical business leadership to internal programs. Prior to joining Intel, she was Vice President at New Leaf Venture Partners (NLVP), and spent seven years at Medtronic creating several new therapy programs. Asha has an active medical practice at the Stanford VA Hospital Emergency Department. She has numerous patents and publications in textbooks and peer-reviewed journals including Nature, PNAS, Neuron, and Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. She has an M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Colorado and completed Internal Medicine Residency and Biodesign Fellowship programs at Stanford University.
Dr. Tat-Jin Teo
Dr. Tat-Jin Teo BSc (Physics), PhD (Electrical and Bio-medical Engineering) is a Non-Executive Director and heads of HD Medical Groupâ€™s Scientific Advisory Board. He is responsible for the management of clinical trials, intellectual property and patents, research relationships and papers for publication. Dr. Teo was educated in Singapore, UK, and USA. He was a senior research fellow at Boston Scientific Corporation in the US, and has held several senior positions in global organizations involving medical research and ultrasound technology. He is the holder of a number of patents and the author of various journal publications, articles and chapters.
Suk Jin Kim
Suk Jin Kim, aNon-Executive Director of HD Medical Group, has over 15 years experience in financial and IT industries, and is managing partner of Incore invest Co. Ltd., a venture capital investment company specializing in corporate restructuring and other venture capital business in Korea. Mr. Kim holds a masters degree in business administration from Hanyang University, a Bachelor of mathematics from Seoul National University and a PMD from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Abrahamson has over 30 years of experience in the medical device and associated health care industries holding several senior positions with multinationals such as Allergan Inc., Advanced Medical Optics Inc. and Welcome Australia Limited based in Australia, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
